Thank
You Allah
O Sons of Adam, if God has
blessed anyone with a house where he can live, water to
quench his thirst, food sufficient to relieve his hunger,
cloth enough to cover the body and limbs and a wife chaste
and helpful in maintaining his position in life, he should
thank God for he has everything he needs in this world.
Everybody should take up some profession for his sustenance
and content himself with it. Moderation should be adopted as
the rule of life and some of the spare time, particularly in
the morning, evening and later part of the night, should be
devoted to the remembrance of God and recitation of the Quran.
One should also listen to the Traditions of the Prophet,
peace be upon him, and join the gatherings held for
recollection of God.

Words of
Wisdom |
Characteristics of a Faithful
It's only
beseeming for the faithful that he should be sound of faith
and a man of conviction. His knowledge entails forbearance as
moderation is an adornment for the learned. He is wise but
soft-hearted; well-dressed and restrained in order to conceal
his indigence; never prodigal even if a man of substance;
charitable and compassionate to the destitute; large-hearted
and generous in giving to the kinsfolk their due; strenuous
and unflinching in provided justice to others; never crosses
the prescribed limits in favouring his near and dear ones nor
does he find fault or cull out the errors of those whom he
dislikes. A Muslim is indifferent to reviling and taunting,
frolics and sports, decrials and backbiting. He never runs
after what is not his right nor denies what he owes to
others...
Humble and
submissive, devoted and enchanted, as a faithful is in his
prayers, he is a messenger of cheer; his endurance is owing
to the awe of God; his silence is for meditation and
reflection; he pays attention for edification and
instruction; he seeks company of the learned for acquiring
knowledge; keeps mum to avoid transgression; and if he
speaks, he speaks to spread the virtue....

Comfort Me, Lord Lord, the night is gone. The dawn has lighted the sky.
How I long to know if You accepted or rejected my prayers.
Comfort me, Lord, for only you can comfort this state of
mine. You gave me life and nurtured me; Yours is all the
praise. If You would ever drive me away from Your door, I
would never abandon it for the sake of Your love, which I
carry in my heart.

The
Night of Power Behold, We revealed the Qur'an on the Night of Power.
If only you knew what the Night of Power is. That one night
surpasses a thousand months, for the angels and the Spirit
[Gabriel] descend to the earth, bearing divine inspiration by
the permission of their Lord. That night is the night of
peace until the crack of dawn.
-Qur'an, Al-Qadr, Surah 97:1-5 |

The
False Promises of a Merchant
The false promises of a merchant may persuade a buyer into
purchasing his (faulty) goods; but these will be deprived of
Allah's blessings.
-The Prophet Muhammad, as reported by Abu Hurairah |

We
Follow That Apostle
Our Lord! We believe in that which You have revealed and we
follow that apostle. Count us among those who bear witness to
the truth.

We
Sent Down Revelations

down revelations and explained them. Then Allah guides whom
He will onto a straight path.

I
Seek Refuge in the Lord

from the malevolence of the envious when he envies."
-Qur'an, Al-Falaq, Surah 113:1-5 |

wisely, yet act unjustly.

Your
Exalted Estate
Do away with superfluous speech, and sacrifice what you hold
dear, that His grace may utter praise of you and the heaven
be envious of your exalted estate.

Nothing But Sorcery Remember when Jesus the son of Mary said, "Children of
Israel, behold, I have been sent by Allah as His messenger to
follow, whose name shall be Ahmad." Yet when he went before
them with evident signs of truth, they said, "This is nothing
but sorcery."
-Qur'an, As-Saff, Surah 61:6-7 |

Wait
Patiently for a Response
Your pleas shall
be answered, but wait patiently for the Lord to respond. Do
not lose hope and begin to complain, "I beseeched the Lord,
but He never responded."

Prophet Muhammad, as reported by Sahih al-Bukhari |

Shame
Hinders Faith Water said to the defiled, "Hurry come to me."The defiled
replied, "But I feel ashamed before the water."Water said,
"But without me how will you wash your shame? How will your
filth be removed?"
Shame hinders the faith of the tainted who hide from the
water.

Listen to Your Heart
Listen to your heart and not your ego. Your ego prompts you
to boast of vain assertions to obtain the glory of this
world. Turn away from vanity and seek Him in the recesses of
your heart and soul.

On that day you see the believers, both men and women, their

be told, "Wonderful news for you today: hereon you shall

supreme triumph."
-Qur'an, Al-Hadid, Surah 57:12 |

What
Did You Accomplish?
What did you accomplish in your life? How did you consume
your sustenence and strength? Where did you lose the luster
of your eyes? Where did you lose all the five senses? I gave
you bounty. Where is your gratitude? I gave you the capital.
Come show me the interest.

We
Heard a Voice
Lord! We heard a voice inviting us to faith, saying, "Believe
in your Lord," and we believed. O Sustainer, absolve us of
our sins, remit from us our evil deeds, and allow us to pass
away as the devout.
-Qur'an, Al-Imran, Surah 3:193 |

surely be victorious.

All
the Beasts That Roam
All the beasts that roam on the earth and all the birds that

Calling to Good or Bad
Abu Huraira (radiallaho
unho) reported Allah's Messenger (salallaho alaihi wasallam)
as saying: He who called (people) to righteousness, there
would be reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those
who adhered to it, without their rewards being diminished in
any respect. And he who called (people) to error, he shall
have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who
committed it, without their sins being diminished in any
respect.
