In the name of Allah, the Gracious the Merciful
Ghusl
(Complete body washing, i.e. bath)

Hadith - Muwatta 2.74
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'n Nadr, the
mawla of Umar ibn Abdullah that Abu Salamaibn
Abdar-Rahman ibn Awf related that he had asked A'isha,
the wife of the Prophet
what
made ghusl obligatory. She said, "Do you know what you
are like, Abu Salama? You are like a chick when it
hears the cocks crowing and so crows with them. When
the circumcised part passes the circumcised part, ghusl
is obligatory."
Hadith - Bukhari 1:228, Narrated 'Aisha
Fatima bint Abi Hubaish
came
to the Prophet and said, "O Allah's Apostle I get
persistent bleeding from the uterus and do not become
clean. Shall I give up my prayers?" Allah's Apostle
replied,
"No,
because it is from a blood vessel and not the menses.
So when your real menses begins give up your prayers
and when it has finished wash off the blood (take a
bath) and offer your prayers."
Hisham (the sub narrator) narrated that his father had
also said, (the Prophet told her): "Perform ablution for every prayer till the time of the next
period comes."
Hadith - Bukhari 1:327, Narrated 'Aisha
The Prophet
said
to me, "Give
up the prayer when your menses begin and when it has
finished, wash the blood off your body (take a bath)
and start praying." |

SOME AUTHENTIC HADEETHS ON MARRIAGE
The
Following are authentic proofs. I have taken most of them
from the book 'Saheeh Al Jaami' As Sagheer wa Ziyaadatuhu'
by the scholar, the Muhadith of our age, Muhammad Naasir ud
Deen Al Albaanee. Two of the proofs were taken from It'haaf
Al Karaam Ta'leeq Alaa Buloogh Al Maraam by Shaykh Safee
Ar-Rahmaan Al Mubaarakfooree.{The one who wrote Raheeq Al
Makhtoom} Note that I am using the new edition of Saheeh Al
Jaami', so the numbering of the Ahaadeeth is not the same
as those from the old version. You can refer to the Tarteeb
of Shaykh Zuhayr Shaaweesh to the new edition InshaAllaah.
Here
is what was easy for me to compile as proofs for the points
I mentioned earlier:
1. THE
MUTUAL AGREEMENT
"A
Woman is not married until she is consulted, and a virgin
is not married until you have her permission." They
said, "O messenger of Allaah! And how do obtain her
permission? He(Sallallaahu Alay hi Wa Sallam) said: "If
she is silent." (An taskuta)
[reported by Abu Hurayrah (r)] [Bukhaaree, Muslim, Abu
Daawood, and an-Nisaa'ee]
Shaykh Al Albaanee reports it in Mukhtasar Saheeh Muslim
no. 602
He
makes the takhreej of it in Irwaa Al Ghaleel no.
He
declares it authentic in Saheeh Al Jaami' vol. 2, no. 7470
2. THE
WALEE
"There
is no nikaah, except with a Walee." (Laa nikah illaa bi
walee)
[reported by Ibn Abbas (r)] [Ahmad, Abu Daawood, an-Nisaa'ee,
At-Tirmidthi, it was authenticated by Imaam Al Haakim -
this particular chain is from Abi Moosaa] [It comes from
another authentic chain in Ibn Maajah from Ibn Abbaas (r)]
Shaykh Al Albaanee makes the takhreej of it in Irwaa Al
Ghaleel no. 1839
He
decalares it authentic in Saheeh Al Jaami' vol. 2, no. 7555
NOTE:
So both chains are authentic.
b. "There
is no marriage except with a Walee, and the Sultaan is the
Walee for whomever there is no Walee."
[reported by Aa'ishah(r)] [Ahmad, Ibn Maajah]
Shaykh Al Albaanee declares it authentic in Saheeh Al Jaami'
vol. 2, no. 7556.
3. THE
WITNESSES
"There
is no marriage except with a Walee, and trustworthy
witnesses." (Wa Shaahidee 'Adl)
[reported by Umraan, and Aa'ishah(r)] [Bayhaqee]
Shaykh Al Albaanee makes the takhreej of it in Irwaa Al
Ghaleel no.'s 1839, 1858, 1860
He
declares it authentic in Saheeh Al Jaami' vol. 2, no. 7557
b. "There
is no marriage except with a Walee, and two witnesses."
[reported by Abi Moosaa] [At-Tabaraani in Al Kabeer]
Shaykh Al Albaanee makes the takhreej for it in Irwaa Al
Ghaleel no. 1839, 1858.
He
declares it authentic in Saheeh Al Jaami' vol. 2, no. 7558.
4. THE
CONTRACT
In
It'haaf Al Karaam, I found the following:
(1018) And from Mu'aawiyah ibn Hakeem from his father that
he said, "I said, 'O Messenger of Allaah(Sallallaahu Alayhi
Wa Sallam), What is the right that one of our wives has
over us?' So he said, 'Feed her when you eat, clothe her
when you wear clothes, and do not strike her on the face,
and do not revile her or make hijrah from her, except in
the house.'
[recorded by Ahmad, and Abu Daawood, and Nisaa'ee, and Ibn
Maajah, and Bukhaaree with some parts of it being Mu'allaq,
and it was authenticated by Ibn Hibbaan, and Imaam Al
Haakim] Shaykh Mubaarakfooree also considers it to be
Saheeh. It can be found on p. 304 of It'haaf Al Karaam.
5.
THE DOWRY
"The
best dowry is the most easy."
[reported by 'Uqbah Ibn Aamir] [Abu Daawood, Ibn Maajah, it
was authenticated by Imaam Al Haakim]
Shaykh Al Albaanee makes the Takhreej for it in Irwaa Al
Ghaleel no. 1923
He
declares it authentic in Saheeh Al Jaami' Vol. 2, 3279
The
following is taken from It'haaf Al Karaam p. 307:
Chapter: The Dowry
(1027) From Anas(r) from the Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wa
Sallam) that he freed Safiyyah, and made her manumittance,
her dowry. [Agreed Upon] Shaykh Mubaarakfooree mentions
that there are some Fiqh differences among the scholars
regarding manumittance as a dowry, but the overall presence
of a dowry in marriage can be established from this
authentic Hadeeth in general. And Verily Our Lord The Most
High Knows Best.

The Garden of Charity
The Messenger of God, peace be upon him, said: 'Every Muslim
must give charity.'
Some people asked: 'What if he has no money?'
He replied: 'He should work with his hands, and meet his needs
as well as give charity to others.'
They asked: 'What if he could not, or did not, do that?'
He replied: 'Then he should assist a needy person in distress.'
They asked: 'What if he could not do that as well?'
He replied: 'He should then teach good things.'
They asked: 'And, if he could not do even that.?'
He replied: 'Then, he should refrain from harming anyone. That
too, would be charity on his part.'

The Gate
of Paradise
Dr. `Abdullah
al-Shimemeri
Descriptions of Paradise from the Qur'aan and Hadeeth"Gardens
of perpetual bliss - they shall enter them, as well as the
righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their
offspring. And angels shall enter upon them every gate." [ar-Ra`d,
13:23]
"This is a reminder. Verily, for the righteous is a
beautiful place of [final] return - gardens of eternity,
whose doors will [always] be open to them." [Saad, 38:49-50]
"And those who feared their Lord will be led to the
Garden in crowds, until behold, they arrive there. Its gates
will be opened, and its keepers will say, 'Peace be upon
you!' Well have you done, do enter it, abiding [in it]
eternally." [Az-Zumar, 39:73]
Sahl bin Sa`d reported that the Prophet (peace be
upon him) said:
"Paradise has eight gates, and one of them is called
ar-Rayyaan, through which none will enter but those who
observe fasting." [al-Bukhaari]
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon
him) said:
"Whoever spends two things in the way of Allah will
be called from the gates of Paradise and will be addressed,
'Oh slave of Allah, here is prosperity!' So whoever was among
the people who used to offer their prayers will be called
from the gate of the prayer; and whoever was among the people
who used to participate in jihaad will be called from the
gate of jihaad; and whoever was among those who used to
observer fasts will be called from the gate of ar-Rayyaan;
and whoever was among those who used to give charity will be
called from the gate of charity." Abu Bakr said, "Let my
parents be sacrificed for you, oh Allah's Apostle! No
distress or need will befall him who will be called from
those gates. Will there be anyone who will be called from all
these gates?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "Yes,
and I hope you will be one of them." [al-Bukhaari]
`Uqba ibn `Aamir said:
"We were entrusted with the task of tending the camels. On my
turn, when I came back in the evening after grazing them in
the pastures, I found Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him)
stand and address the people. I heard these words of his, 'If
any Muslim performs ablution well, then stands and prays two
rak`ahs, setting about them with his heart as well as his
face, Paradise will be guaranteed to him.' I said, 'What a
fine thing this is!' A narrator who was before me said, 'The
first was even better than this.' When I cast a glance, I saw
that it was `Umar who said, 'I see that you have just come
and observed. If anyone among you performs the ablution,
completes the ablution well and says, "I testify that there
is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the servant of Allah
and His Messenger," then the eight gates of Paradise will be
opened for him and he may enter by whichever of them he
wishes." [Muslim]
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger (peace be upon him)
said:
"The gates of Paradise will be opened on Monday and on
Thursdays, and every servant [of Allah] who associates
nothing with Allah will be forgiven, except for the man who
has a grudge against his brother. [About them] it will be
said, 'Delay these two until they are reconciled. Delay these
two until they are reconciled. Delay these two until they are
reconciled.'" [Muslim, Maalik, Abu Dawood]

Jabir bin
`Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them) reported that
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said:
Allah shows mercy to the man who
adopts kind attitude when he sells, buys, and demands for
repayment of loans.
(Reported by Al-Bukhari)
Lessons Deduced:
- Tolerance is desirable in buying and selling. The buyer
and the seller are recommended to work for the
satisfaction of each other, by giving up what may
irritate any of them.
- One should be lenient in asking for the repayment of
his due debt, and it is recommended to give up part of
it.

Hadith - Bukhari 1:28, Narrated Ibn 'Abbas
The Prophet
said: "I
was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers
were women who were ungrateful." It was asked, "Do they
disbelieve in Allah?" (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He
replied, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and are
ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done
to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of
them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking),
she will say, 'I have never received any good from you."
Four Poisons of the Heart
1. Unnecessary Talking
Umar Ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "A
person who talks too much is a person who often makes mistakes,
and someone who often makes mistakes, often has wrong actions.
The Fire has a priority over such a frequent sinner."
2. Unrestrained Glances
It has been related that the Prophet (saw) once said words to
the effect: "The glance is a poisoned arrow of shaytan. Whoever
lowers his gaze for Allah, He will bestow upon him a refreshing
sweetness which he will find in his heart on the day that he
meets Him."
3. Too Much Food
Al-Miqdam ibn Ma'd Yakrib said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah
(saw) say: "The son of Adam fills no vessel more displeasing to
Allah than his stomach. A few morsels should be enough for him
to preserve his strength. If he must fill it, then he should
allow a third for his food, a third for his drink and leave a
third empty for easy breathing."
4. Keeping Bad Company
Allah's Apostle said, "The example of a good companion (who
sits with you) in comparison with a bad one, is like that of
the musk seller and the blacksmith's bellows (or furnace); from
the first you would either buy musk or enjoy its good smell
while the bellows would either burn your clothes or your house,
or you get a bad nasty smell thereof." From the Muslim
perspective, the purpose of education is to produce a human
being who is safe to himself and to his society. The end result
is a human being who knows his place in the universe and knows
his purpose. He knows his rights and his responsibilities, with
the emphasis on responsibility.

Volume 7, Book 62, Number 15:
Narrated
'Aisha:
Allah's
Apostle said (to me), "You have been shown to me twice in
(my) dreams. A man was carrying you in a silken cloth and
said to me, 'This is your wife.' I uncovered it; and behold,
it was you. I said to myself, 'If this dream is from Allah,
He will cause it to come true.' "
Volume 7, Book 62,
Number 24:
Narrated Sahl bin Sad As-Sa'idi:
A woman came to Allah's Apostle and said, "O Allah's
Apostle! I have come to give you myself in marriage
(without Mahr)." Allah's Apostle looked at her. He looked
at her carefully and fixed his glance on her and then
lowered his head. When the lady saw that he did not say
anything, she sat down. A man from his companions got up
and said, "O Allah's Apostle! If you are not in need of
her, then marry her to me." The Prophet said, "Have you got
anything to offer?" The man said, "No, by Allah, O Allah's
Apostle!" The Prophet said (to him), "Go to your family and
see if you have something." The man went and returned,
saying, "No, by Allah, I have not found anything." Allah's
Apostle said, "(Go again) and look for something, even if
it is an iron ring." He went again and returned, saying,
"No, by Allah, O Allah's Apostle! I could not find even an
iron ring, but this is my Izar (waist sheet)." He had no
rida. He added, "I give half of it to her." Allah's Apostle
said, "What will she do with your Izar? If you wear it, she
will be naked, and if she wears it, you will be naked." So
that man sat down for a long while and then got up (to
depart). When Allah's Apostle saw him going, he ordered
that he be called back. When he came, the Prophet said,
"How much of the Quran do you know?" He said, "I know such
Sura and such Sura," counting them. The Prophet said, "Do
you know them by heart?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet
said, "Go, I marry her to you for that much of the Quran
which you have."
Volume 9, Book
92, Number 381:
Narrated Hudhaifa:
Allah's Apostle said to us, "Honesty descended from
the Heavens and settled in the roots of the hearts of men
(faithful believers), and then the Quran was revealed and
the people read the Quran, (and learnt it from it) and
also learnt it from the Sunna." Both Quran and Sunna
strengthened their (the faithful believers') honesty.
(See Hadith No. 208)
Volume 9, Book
93, Number 471:
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:
A man heard another man reciting (in the prayers):
'Say (O Muhammad): "He is Allah, the One." (112.1) And
he recited it repeatedly. When it was morning, he went
to the Prophet and informed him about that as if he
considered that the recitation of that Sura by itself
was not enough. Allah's Apostle said, "By Him in Whose
Hand my life is, it is equal to one-third of the
Quran."
Volume 9,
Book 93, Number 485:
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:
Abu Bakr As-Siddiq said to the Prophet "O Allah's
Apostle! Teach me an invocation with which I may invoke
Allah in my prayers." The Prophet said, "Say: O Allah! I
have wronged my soul very much (oppressed myself), and
none forgives the sins but You; so please bestow Your
Forgiveness upon me. No doubt, You are the Oft-Forgiving,
Most Merciful."
Volume 6, Book 61,
Number 504:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "Every Prophet was given miracles
because of which people believed, but what I have been
given, is Divine Inspiration which Allah has revealed to
me. So I hope that my followers will outnumber the
followers of the other Prophets on the Day of
Resurrection."
Volume 4, Book 55,
Number 544:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "The first group of people who
will enter Paradise, will be glittering like the full moon
and those who will follow them, will glitter like the most
brilliant star in the sky. They will not urinate, relieve
nature, spit, or have any nasal secretions. Their combs
will be of gold, and their sweat will smell like musk. The
aloes-wood will be used in their centers. Their wives will
be houris. All of them will look alike and will resemble
their father Adam (in statute), sixty cubits tall."
Volume 4, Book 55,
Number 550:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
The Prophet said, "Allah has appointed an angel in the
womb, and the angel says, 'O Lord! A drop of discharge
(i.e. of semen), O Lord! a clot, O Lord! a piece of flesh.'
And then, if Allah wishes to complete the child's creation,
the angel will say. 'O Lord! A male or a female? O Lord!
wretched or blessed (in religion)? What will his livelihood
be? What will his age be?' The angel writes all this while
the child is in the womb of its mother."
Volume 1, Book 1,
Number 1:
Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab:
I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The reward of deeds
depends upon the intentions and every person will get the
reward according to what he has intended. So whoever
emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his
emigration was for what he emigrated for."
Volume 1, Book
1, Number 3:
Narrated 'Aisha:
(the mother of the faithful believers) The
commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah's Apostle
was in the form of good dreams which came true like
bright day light, and then the love of seclusion was
bestowed upon him. He used to go in seclusion in the cave
of Hira where he used to worship (Allah alone)
continuously for many days before his desire to see his
family. He used to take with him the journey food for the
stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his
food like-wise again till suddenly the Truth descended
upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came
to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, "I do
not know how to read.
The Prophet added, "The angel caught me (forcefully)
and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more.
He then released me and again asked me to read and I
replied, 'I do not know how to read.' Thereupon he caught
me again and pressed me a second time till I could not
bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me
to read but again I replied, 'I do not know how to read
(or what shall I read)?' Thereupon he caught me for the
third time and pressed me, and then released me and said,
'Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that
exists) has created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord
is the Most Generous." (96.1, 96.2, 96.3) Then Allah's
Apostle returned with the Inspiration and with his heart
beating severely. Then he went to Khadija bint Khuwailid
and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him till his
fear was over and after that he told her everything that
had happened and said, "I fear that something may happen
to me." Khadija replied, "Never! By Allah, Allah will
never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your
Kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your
guests generously and assist the deserving
calamity-afflicted ones."
Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa bin
Naufal bin Asad bin 'Abdul 'Uzza, who, during the
PreIslamic Period became a Christian and used to write
the writing with Hebrew letters. He would write from the
Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write. He
was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to
Waraqa, "Listen to the story of your nephew, O my
cousin!" Waraqa asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?"
Allah's Apostle described whatever he had seen. Waraqa
said, "This is the same one who keeps the secrets (angel
Gabriel) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were
young and could live up to the time when your people
would turn you out." Allah's Apostle asked, "Will they
drive me out?" Waraqa replied in the affirmative and
said, "Anyone (man) who came with something similar to
what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if
I should remain alive till the day when you will be
turned out then I would support you strongly." But after
a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was
also paused for a while.
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah Al-Ansari while talking
about the period of pause in revelation reporting the
speech of the Prophet "While I was walking, all of a
sudden I heard a voice from the sky. I looked up and saw
the same angel who had visited me at the cave of Hira'
sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth. I got
afraid of him and came back home and said, 'Wrap me (in
blankets).' And then Allah revealed the following Holy
Verses (of Quran):
'O you (i.e. Muhammad)! wrapped up in garments!' Arise
and warn (the people against Allah's Punishment),... up
to 'and desert the idols.' (74.1-5) After this the
revelation started coming strongly, frequently and
regularly."

EID
An uncle of mine called Abu Burda, slaughtered his sacrifice
before the 'Id
prayer. So Allah's Apostle (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said
to him, "Your
(slaughtered) sheep was just mutton (not a sacrifice)." Abu
Burda said, "O
Allah's Apostle! I have got a domestic kid." The Prophet said,
"Slaughter it (as
a sacrifice) but it will not be permissible for anybody other
than you"
Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) added,
"Whoever slaughtered his sacrifice before the ('Id) prayer,
he only slaughtered for himself,
and whoever slaughtered it after the prayer,
he offered his sacrifice properly
and followed the tradition of the Muslims."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7:463
On the Day of Eid the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)
used to return (after offering the Eid prayer)

Allah's Apostle (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)
used to offer the prayer of Eid-ul-Adha and Eid-ul-Fitr
and then deliver the Khutba after the prayer.
Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar (Radhiallaho anho)
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 2:77
The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said,
"A woman is married for four things,
i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her
religion.
So you should marry the religious woman
(otherwise) you will be a loser."
Sahih Al-Bukhari 7:27 Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radhiallaho

"And when My servants ask thee concerning Me,
I am indeed close (to them):
I respond to the dua (prayer) of every suppliant when they
calleth on Me"
Surah Al Baqarah 2:186
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said:
O Allah's slaves, be brothers!
Beware of suspicion,
for it is the worst of false tales
don't look for the other's faults
don't spy
don't hate each other,
don't cut your relations with one another.

If a person in a state of post-sex impurity wants to
eat, drink or have intercourse again,
he should perform ablution.
(Fiqh-us-Sunnah)
'Aishah (radiyallaahu 'anha) said, "When the Prophet (Sallallaahu
Alayhi
Wasallam) was in a state of impurity because of intercourse and
wanted to eat or
sleep, he would perform ablution." 'Ammar ibn Yasar (radiyallaahu
'anhu)
reported that the Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam)
permitted a person in
post-sex impurity to eat, drink or sleep if he performed
ablution first.
(Related by Ahmad and at-Tirmidhi, who classified it as sahih.)
Abu Sa'eed (radiyallaahu 'anhu) reported that the Prophet (Sallallaahu
Alayhi
Wasallam) said, "If one has intercourse with his wife and wants
to repeat the
act, he should perform ablution." (Related by "the group,"
except for
al-Bukhari. Ibn Khuzaimah, Ibn Hibban and al-Hakim recorded it
with the
addition, "It makes the return more vivacious.")
---------
(vivacious = Full of animation and spirit)
Whenever Allah's Apostle was given the
choice of one of two matters,
he would choose the easier of the two,
as long as it was not sinful to do so,
but if it was sinful to do so, he would not approach it.
Allah's Apostle never took revenge (over anybody) for his own
sake
but (he did) only when Allah's legal bindings were outraged
in which case he would take revenge for Allah's sake.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4:760
Narrated by Aisha
The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa
sallam) said:
I stood at the gate of Paradise
and saw
that the majority of the people who had entered it
were poor people,
while the rich were forbidden (to enter along with the poor,
because they were waiting for the reckoning [ settlement
] of their accounts),
but the people of the Fire
had been ordered to be driven to the Fire.
I stood at the gate of the Fire
and found that the majority of the people entering it were
women.
Sahih Bukhari Hadith 8:555
Narrated by Usama (Radhiallaho anho)
Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu 'alaihi

A group of people from my Ummah will continue to fight
in defence of truth and remain triumphant (Victorious)
until the Day of Judgment.

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (Radhiallaho anho)
Aisha (Ral) asked the Prophet (PBUH)
"O Allah's Apostle!
We consider Jihad as the best deed.
Should we not fight in Allah's cause?"
Prophet (PBUH) replied,
"The best Jihad (for women) is Hajj-mabrur"
(i.e. Hajj which is done according to the Prophet's tradition
and is accepted by
Allah).
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4:43
Narrated by Aisha (Ral)
Allah's Apostle (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) performed four 'Umras,
all in the month of Dhul-Qa'da,
except the one which he performed with his Hajj (i.e. in
Dhul-Hijja).
He performed one 'Umra from Al-Hudaibiya in Dhul-Qa'da,
another 'Umra in the following year in Dhul Qa'da
a third from Al-Jirana where he distributed the war booty of
Hunain, in Dhul
Qa'da,
and the fourth 'Umra he performed was with his Hajj.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 5:469
We squander our Health in search of Wealth
We scheme and toil and save
and then
We squander our Wealth in search of Health
And all that we get is a grave.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wealth is a Trial...
Don't Forget to Purify Your Wealth!
The concept of Zakaah is to decrease the love of wealth.
The weaknesses of human beings is the love for wealth.
Allah says:
"And you love wealth with excessive love."[89:20]
And:
"Verily he(man)is violent in the love of wealth."[100:8]
He also warns:
"Your wealth and your children may be but a trial." [64:15]
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
"Every Ummah (nation) has a test to undergo,
my Ummah (nation) will be tried through wealth."
[Tirmidhee no: 481]
Many people ruin their faith and fidelity merely due to the
greed of wealth.
This love of wealth creates in man
evil instincts, miserliness, selfishness and arrogance,
which in turn involve him in sins, falsehood,
deceit, cruelty and robbery.
This causes disorder and destruction.
The concept of Zakaah
is to decrease the love of wealth
and
inculcate justice, generosity,
brotherhood, affection and sacrifice
among the Muslims.
Allah says:
"By no means shall you attain righteousness (and reward)
unless you spend of that which you love." [3:92]
Shahih Bukhari:
Volume 1, Book 3, Number 56:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
While the Prophet was saying something in a gathering, a
Bedouin came and asked him, "When would the Hour (Doomsday)
take place?" Allah's Apostle continued his talk, so some people
said that Allah's Apostle had heard the question, but did not
like what that Bedouin had asked. Some of them said that
Alllah's Apostle had not heard it. When the Prophet finished
his speech, he said, "Where is the questioner, who enquired
about the Hour (Doomsday)?" The Bedouin said, "I am here, O
Allah's Apostle ." Then the Prophet said, "When honesty is
lost, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday)." The Bedouin said,
"How will that be lost?" The Prophet said, "When the power or
authority comes in the hands of unfit persons, then wait for
the Hour (Doomsday.)"

Ka`b bin `Iad (may Allah be pleased with him)
reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace
be upon him) saying:
Verily there is a temptation for every people
and the seduction of my people is wealth.
(Reported by Al-Tirmidhi)
Lessons Deduced:
- Allah made money the ornament of this life
and created in man love for it. A Muslim should earn
lawful money and avoid ill-gotten money.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated
that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)
recited: "On that Day will it declare its tidings".
(99:4) Then he inquired:
Do you know what its tidings are?
He was told: Allah and His Messenger know
best. He said:
Its tidings are that it shall bear witness
against every bondsman and maiden concerning that
which they did on its back. It will say: You did this
and this on such and such day. These will be its
tidings.
(Reported by Al-Tirmidhi)
Lessons Deduced:
- A Muslim should do good deeds and avoid
sins.
- By Allah's will, the land will testify and
tell what happened on it.
- A Muslim should avoid committing sins even
if nobody sees him. Allah sees him and the land will
be a witness against him. |

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported
that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
Two words are light for the tongue but heavy
in the scale and are dear to the Merciful: Glory be
to Allah and His is the praise, and Glory be to
Allah, the Incomparably Great.
(Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Lessons Deduced:
- It is recommended to say the remembrances
of Allah which expiate sins and add to a believer's
scale of good deeds.
- These remembrances (mentioned by the Holy
Prophet) are better for a Muslim because they make
him always with Allah and protect him from the
Devils' insinuations and wicked talk. |

Jabir
bin `Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them)
reported that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him)
said:
Allah shows mercy to the man who adopts kind
attitude when he sells, buys, and demands for
repayment of loans.
(Reported by Al-Bukhari)
Lessons Deduced:
- Tolerance is desirable in buying and
selling. The buyer and the seller are recommended to
work for the satisfaction of each other, by giving up
what may irritate any of them.
- One should be lenient in asking for the
repayment of his due debt, and it is recommended to
give up part of it. |

Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that
he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)
saying:
That who likes that Allah may save him from
the calamities of the Resurrection Day, should either
give respite to a debtor or grant him remission (of
loans) in straitened circumstances.
(Reported by Muslim)
Lessons Deduced:
- One should be lenient with his debtor; he
may either postpone the repayment date or acquit him
of the debt altogether.
- The tolerant creditor has a great merit and
a bounteous reward. If he absolves the debtor from
the debt, Allah will absolve him from his sins and
admit him to Paradise.

Narrated Abu Hurairah (ra): Mohammad (SAW) said,
"Everyone of my Ummah will enter Paradise except those who do

alaihi wasallam) as saying: He who called (people) to
righteousness, there would be reward (assured) for him like
the rewards of those who adhered to it, without their rewards

Paradise
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri and Abu Huraira (radiallaho
unhuma) both reported Allah's Messenger (salallaho alaihi
wasallam) as saying: There would be an announcer (in
Paradise) who would make this announcement: Verily I there is
in store for you (everlasting) health and that you should
never fall ill and that you live (for ever) and do not die at
all. And that you would remain young and never grow old. And
that you would always live in affluent circumstances and
never become destitute, as words of Allah, the Exalted and
Glorious, are:" And it would be announced to them: This is
the Paradise. You have been made to inherit it for what you
used to do". (VII; 43)

stands at a lower level than you in regard to these things
(in which he stands) at a higher level (as compared to him).

Allah's Apostle (salallaho alaihi wasallam) said, "When the
believers pass safely over (the bridge across) Hell, they
will be stopped at a bridge in between Hell and Paradise
where they will retaliate upon each other for the injustices
done among them in the world, and when they get purified of
all their sins, they will be admitted into Paradise. By Him
in Whose Hands the life of Muhammad is everybody will
recognize his dwelling in Paradise better than he recognizes
his dwelling in this world."

like. It was said to him: What is your opinion about this

Ahadith Concerning Hell
Hadith - Qudsi 38
When Allah (swt) created Paradise and Hell-fire, He sent
Gabriel to Paradise, saying: Look at it and at what I have
prepared therein for its inhabitants. The Prophet said: So he
came to it and looked at it and at what Allah had prepared
therein for its inhabitants. The Prophet said: So he returned
to Him and said: By your glory, no one hears of it without
entering it. So He ordered that it be encompassed by forms of
hardship, and He said: Return to it and look at what I have
prepared therein for its inhabitants. The Prophet said: So he
returned to it and found that it was encompassed by forms of
hardship. Then he returned to Him and said: By Your glory, I
fear that no one will enter it. He said: Go to Hell-fire and
look at it and what I have prepared therein for its
inhabitants, and he fount that it was in layers, one above the
other. Then he returned to Him and said: By Your glory, no one
who hears of it will enter it. So He ordered that it be
encompassed by lusts. Then He said: Return to it. And he
returned to it and said: By Your glory, I am frightened that no
one will escape from entering it.
Hadith - Sahih Bukhari 4:464, Narrated 'Abdullah bin Abbas ,

"...Then I saw the (Hell) Fire, and I have never before, seen
such a horrible sight as that, and I saw that the majority of
its dwellers were women." The people asked, "O Allah's Apostle!
What is the reason for that?" He replied, "Because of their
ungratefulness." It was said. "Do they disbelieve in Allah (are
they ungrateful to Allah)?" He replied, "They are not thankful
to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors done to
them. Even if you do good to one of them all your life, when
she seems some harshness from you, she will say, "I have never
seen any good from you.' "
Hadith - Reported by Darimi, Narrated Abu Sa'id , Tirmidhi
transmitted something similar but he said seventy instead of
ninety-nine.
Allah's Messenger said: There dominate ninety-nine dragons over
the unbeliever in the grave. They (constantly) bite him and
sting him till there comes the hour (of resurrection). (These
dragons are so poisonous) that if one of them exhales on the
Earth, no verdure will ever grow upon it.
Hadith - Al-Tirmidhi, Narrated Abu Hurayrah Transmitted by
Tirmidhi
The Prophet was asked about the things which would enable most
people to enter Paradise. He answered: Being careful about
one's obligations to Allah, and good behaviour. Thereafter, he
was asked: What are those things which will lead a person into
Hell? He answered: His mouth and genitals.
Hadith - Bukhari 8.485, Narrated Abu Huraira
The Prophet said, "A slave (of Allah) may utter a word which
pleases Allah without giving it much importance, and because of
that Allah will raise him to degrees (of reward): a slave (of
Allah) may utter a word (carelessly) which displeases Allah
without thinking of its gravity and because of that he will be
thrown into the Hell-Fire."
Ahadith about Dajjal and Portents of the Hour
Chapter 370
Ahadith about Dajjal and Portents of the Hour
1808. An-Nawwas bin Sam`an (May Allah be pleased with
him) reported: One morning the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) made
a mention of Dajjal, and he described him to be insignificant
and at the same time described him so significant that we
thought he was on the date-palm trees (i.e., nearby). When we
went to him (the Prophet (PBUH)) in the evening, he perceived
the sign of fear on our faces. He said, "What is the matter
with you?'' We said: "O Messenger of Allah, you talked about
Dajjal this morning raising your voice and lowering it until
we thought he was hiding in the palm-trees grove: He said:
"Something other than Dajjal make worry about you. If he
appears while I am with you, I will defend you against him.
But if he appears after I die, then everyone of you is his
own defender. Allah is the One Who remains after me to guide
every Muslim. Dajjal will be a young man with very curly hair
with one eye protruding (with which he cannot see). I compare
(his appearance) to that of Al-`Uzza bin Qatan. He who
amongst you survives to see him, should recite over him the
opening Ayat of Surat Al-Kahf (i.e., Surat 18: Verses 1-8).
He will appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and will
spread mischief right and left. O slaves of Allah! Remain
adhered to the truth.'' We asked: "O Messenger of Allah! How
long will he stay on the earth?'' He said, "For forty days.
One day will be like a year, one day like a month, one day
like a week and the rest of the days will be like your
days.'' We said: "O Messenger of Allah! Will one day's Salat
(prayer) suffice for the Salat of that day which will be
equal to one year?'' Thereupon he said, "No, but you must
make an estimate of time and then offer Salat.'' We said: "O
Messenger of Allah! How quickly will he walk upon the
earth?'' Thereupon he said, "Like cloud driven by the wind
(i.e., very quickly). He will come to the people and call
them to his obedience and they will affirm their faith in him
and respond to him. He will then give command to the sky and
it will send its rain upon the earth and he will then send
his command to the earth and it will grow vegetation. Then in
the evening their pasturing animals will come to them with
their humps very high and their udders full of milk and their
flanks stretched. He will then come to another people and
invite them, but they will reject him and he will leave them,
in barren lands and without any goods and chattels! He would
then walk through the waste land and say to it: `Bring forth
your treasures', and the treasures will come out and follow
him like swarms of bees. He will then call a person brimming
with youth and strike him with the sword and cut him into two
pieces and make these pieces lie at a distance, which is
generally between the archer and his target. He will then
call that young man and he will come forward, laughing, with
his face gleaming out of joy; and it will be at this very
time that Allah will send `Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)
who will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of
Damascus, wearing two garments lightly dyed and placing his
hands on the wings of two angels. When he will lower his
head, there would fall drops of water from his head, and when
he will raise it up, drops like pearls would scatter from it.
Every disbeliever who will find his (i.e., `Isa's) smell will
die and his smell will reach as far as he will be able to
see. He will then search for Dajjal until he will catch hold
of him at the gate of Ludd (village near Jerusalem), and will
kill him. Then the people, whom Allah will have protected,
will come to `Isa son of Maryam, and he will wipe their faces
and will inform them of their ranks in Jannah, and it will be
under such conditions that Allah will reveal to `Isa these
words: `I have brought forth from amongst my slaves such
people against whom none will be able to fight, so take these
people safely to the mountain.' And then Allah will send
Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog people) and they will sworn
down from every slope. The first of them will pass the Lake
Tabariyah (near the Dead Sea in Palestine) and drink all its
water. And when the last of them will pass, he will say:
`There was once water there.' Prophet `Isa (PBUH) and his
companions will then be so much hard-pressed that the head of
an ox will be dearer to them than one hundred dinar, and `Isa
along with his companions, will make supplication to Allah,
Who will send insects which will attack their (Ya'juj and
Ma'juj people) neck until they all will perish like a single
person. Prophet, `¦sa and his companions will then come down
and they will not find in the earth as much space as a single
span which would not be filled with their corpses and their
stench. Prophet `Isa and his companions will then again
beseech Allah, Who will send birds whose necks will be like
those of Bactrian camels, and they will carry them and throw
them where Allah will desire. Then Allah will send down rain
which will spare no house in the city or in the countryside.
It would wash away the earth until it appears like a mirror.
Then the earth will be told to bring forth its fruit and
restore its blessings; and as a result of this, there will
grow such a big pomegranate that a group of people will eat
from it and seek shelter under its skin. Milk will be so
blessed that the milk of one she-camel will suffice for a
large company and the cow will give so much milk, that it
will suffice for a whole tribe. The sheep will give so much
milk that the whole family will be able to drink out of that,
and at that time Allah will send a pleasant wind which will
soothe people even under their armpits, and will take the
life of every Muslim and true believer, and only the wicked
will survive. They will commit adultery in public like asses
and the Resurrection Day will be held.''

Sahih Bukhari
Translator: M. Muhsin Khan
Volume 7, Book 62, Number 62:
Narrated 'Aisha:
(regarding His Statement): 'They ask your instruction
concerning the women. Say: Allah instructs you about them ...'
(4.127) It is about the female orphan who is under the
guardianship of a man with whom she shares her property and he
does not want to marry her and dislikes that someone else
should marry her, lest he should share the property with him,
so he prevents her from marrying. So Allah forbade such a
guardian to do so (i.e. to prevent her from marrying).
Sahih Bukhari:Volume 2, Book 18, Number 150:
Narrated Abu Bakra:
We were with Allah's Apostle when the sun eclipsed. Allah's
Apostle stood up dragging his cloak till he entered the Mosque.
He led us in a two-Rakat prayer till the sun (eclipse) had
cleared. Then the Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "The sun and the moon
do not eclipse because of someone's death. So whenever you see
these eclipses pray and invoke (Allah) till the eclipse is
over."
Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Book 18:
Volume 2, Book 18, Number 151:
Narrated Abu Masud:
The Prophet said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse because
of the death of someone from the people but they are two signs
amongst the signs of Allah. When you see them stand up and
pray."
narrated by al-Bukhaari (3348) and Muslim (222) from Abu Sa’eed
al-Khudri (may Allaah be pleased with him), that the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah will
say, ‘O Adam!’ and he will say, ‘Here I am at Your service, and
all goodness is in Your hand.’ He will say, ‘Bring forth those
who are to be sent to Hell.’ He will say, ‘Who are those who are
to be sent to Hell?’ He will say, ‘From every thousand, nine
hundred and ninety nine.’ At that point the young will turn grey,
every pregnant female will abort, and the people will appear
intoxicated although they are not. But the punishment of Allaah
is severe.” They said, “O Messenger of Allaah, which of us will
be that one?” He said, “Be of good cheer, for there will be one
man from among you and one thousand from among Ya’jooj and
Ma’jooj.” Then he said, “By the One in Whose hand is my soul, I
hope that you will be one quarter of the people of Paradise,” and
they said, “Allaahu akbar!” Then he said, “I hope that you will
be one third of the people of Paradise,” and they said, “Allaahu
akbar!” Then he said, “I hope that you will be half of the people
of Paradise,” and they said, “Allaahu akbar!” Then he said,
“Among the people you are like a black hair on the hide of a
white bull, or like a white hair on the hide of a black bull.”
Volume 1, Book 3, Number 57:
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:
Once the Prophet remained behind us in a journey. He joined us
while we were performing ablution for the prayer which was
over-due. We were just passing wet hands over our feet (and not
washing them properly) so the Prophet addressed us in a loud
voice and said twice or thrice: "Save your heels from the
fire."
