Please don't ask me too

Look at the swollen gray clouds,
whirling around in the immense sky
puffed and swollen, a reflection of my eyes
please don't ask me to look at the rain drops
prickling against the asphalt street
when my own tears are in the way

Look at the yellow bee take a flight in the rain
The little wings heavy from gathering rain drops
whirling and tumbling into the choppy mud
A love trying to take a flight up against all odds
Please don't ask me to gather up and take another flight
When, like the little bee, my hearts wings are worn out

Look at the hijabie girls with their moon like faces
peacefully bent on loving their God
And the sun shining upon their naked hands
Entering a mosque of an onion shaped dome
Please dont' ask me to enter God's home
For i might have been guilty of loving her more than God
