IF I WERE TO PASS AWAY

If I leave this earth and pass away
Grieve not over my departure and do pray
For life in this earth is only a temporary stay
For my time is up and my soul is called away.
Weep not too loudly when I'm deceased
Cry not too much if I'm dismissed
But pray for my safety so at least
I will not be in fear in the 'land of mist' In the grave,
I will be all alone
With my deeds which I have to atone
There isn't communication outside and no phone
I could either smile and relaxe or moan and groan
Just make a dua and say Al-Fatehah for me
To make it more bearable on my distant journey
Forgive my sins and make halal my debt if I have any
because my soul has departed from earth for eternity.
Don't be too grieved if I or anyone else dies
It's all Allah's Plan for He is All Wise
The separation is temporary and it may even be nice
With Allah's Grace, we may meet again, in Paradise.
