it's me again, Ya Ilahi
seeking shelter in Your Mercy
i've so often avoided You
but now i have returned to You

 

Ya Ilahi
if You chase me away
i will remain firm before Your Door
and i will not stop begging You
as i've learnt of Your Kindness
and Your Compassion
and the expanse of Your Mercy

 

oh i've ruined myself, Ya Ilahi
i've sinned too much, Ya Robbi
You've proven Your Love with Your Bounty
when i've only presented you with sins
You shower me Your Kindness
when You know so well my evilness
but it has always been that way with You
towards Your servants
Oh Allah Most Patient!

 

Ya Ilahi
my misery will not leave
without Your Mercy
my illness cannot be cured
without Your Remedy
my pain can only be removed
with Your Proximity
Dear Source of Hope of all hopers
Dear Peak of Givers of all seekers
Dear Destination of all travellers
Dear Summit of Love of all lovers
Dear Beloved of the loyal followers
Dear Comforter of those in tears
Dear Listener to all grievers
Dear Trustee of the inferiors
Dear Treasure of the poors

 

please stay be me, Ya Ilahi
be my Friend in my loneliness
my Saviour in my helplessness
O Forgiver of my sins
O Listener to my calls
my Guardian and my Guide
my Everlasting Light!

 

i beg for Your Forgiveness
from all pleasures without thinking of You
from all restfulness without approaching You
from all busyness without obeying You
from all happiness without including You

 

Ya Ilahi
please fill my heart
with love and fear for You
with belief and faith towards You
with longing for You
and fear of being separated from You

 

Ya Robbi
The Source of all givers
Most Generous, Most Kind
please grant my prayers
for myself and my family members
make my life a peaceful one
my dignity preserved
my soul sheltered
by Your Love
make me amongst those
whom You prolong their lives
whom You accept their services
on whom You bestow Your Bounty
whom You Bless and Forgive

 

and keep me in Your Path, Ya Ilahi
never separate me from You
O my Paradise and Pleasure
O my Beloved of this life and the hereafter.
