Pray for the Ummah
Hadhrat Aamir ibn Malik, the leader of the
tribe Bani Sulaym requested the help of Rasulullah (Sallauhu
Alaihi Wassalam) against the enemies of his tribe. Rasulullah
(saw) accepted his request and sent seventy Sahaba (Radhiallaahu
Anhum) who were Qurraa (experts in the recitation of the Qur'an.
The enemies surrounded these Sahaba (ra) and killed them.
Jibraaeel (Alayhis Salaam) informed Rasulullah
(saw) of the incident and conveyed to him the heartfelt message
of the Qurraa:
"inform out people that we met our Rabb (lord).
He was pleased with us (in turn) pleased us"
The incident caused Rasulullah (saw) great
grief. Abdullah ibn Mas'ood (ra) that Rasulullah (saw) recited
Qunoot Naazila for one month continuously cursing the enemies (Bukhari
vol 2pg 586;Thanwi)
In view of the above, the Ulaama (scholars of
islam) have ruled that when the Ummah (muslim nation) is in a
crises, they should follow the sunnah practice of
Qunoot-e-naazila and make dua (supplication) for the Ummah.
Muslims throughout the world are at the mercy
of their enemies and we should resort to the sunnah practice of
qunoot-e-naazila.
Let us unite as brothers and sisters in islam
and turn to Allah, pray for those who are in trouble, those who
are suffering, those who seek our help yet do not find it, let
us help them, let us pray for them.
Method of Qunoot-e-naazila
-In Fajr salaat (morning
prayer), after ruku (bowing position) of the second rakaat
(complete unit of standing) the imam will make audible Dua. The
muqtadee (followers) will listen to the Dua and say 'Aameen'
during the pauses of the Imams dua.
-The muqtadee
will not recite the Dua with the Imam
-The imam and the muqtadee
should not raise their hands during the Dua. The hands should
be left by their sides.
-Qunoot-e-naazila may be recited
by the Imam during Fujr Salaat. A musfarid (person performing
fard salaat individually) may not recite Qunoot-e-naazila
-One may also recite
Qunoot-e-naazilain in Nafl salaat (optional prayer), performed
individually during the night.
-Females may also recite
Qunoot-e-naazila in nafl salaat.

Shaami Vol 2)

Hadhrat ibn Abbass (ra) narrates
that Rasulullah (saw) would teach us the following Dua to be
recited in the salaat of Fujr.
