These days some muslims all around the world believe music in islamic songs or sometimes music itself  is prohibited in Islam look below for clear evidence that it is strictly prohibited in Islam.

 

Music is expressly prohibited in many ahadith. Among the dominant purposes of our beloved Prophet (saw) was to destroy musical instruments. (Mishkat vol.2).

 

Most people see the drum as not being a musical instrument.

* Hadhrat Ibn Ma'sood (Ra) reports that Rasulullah (saw) declared the beating of the drums and intoxicant as Haraam. (Abu Dawud)

 

* Hadhrat Ali (Ra) narrates that Rasulullah (saw) prohibited the beating of drums. (Kanzul Ummaal)

 

* Rasululla (saw) said " people from my ummah will drink wine and singing girls and musical instruments will be played before them. Allah will cause the earth to swallow them, and diafigure thier FACES into APES and PIGS.'

 

*Rasulullah (saw) mentioned, 'When singing girls and musical instruments become  common, then wait for red winds, earhquakes, the earth swallowing people, disfiguring and many more punishments.' (Mishkat 470)

 

In the light of above, it is not permissable to hear islamic songs with music or music itself.
