My Hope, my Rest, my Delight,
this heart can love none other but You.

It is Allah Who has made for you the earth as a
resting place, and the sky as a canopy, and has given you
shape--and made your shapes beautiful, and has provided for
you Sustenance, of things pure and good; such is Allah your

of the Worlds!

sorrow
Rejoice in sorrow; it will unite you with God.

Turn inward, toward the heart,
and delight in the green shade of trees
and many gushing springs.
-Rumi, "Mathnawi" |
| The gift of
insight
Because of
your humility God granted you the gift of insight. Go
toward the peach tree, which has sprung to life. It has
become lush green by the command "Be!" Beneath its shade
all your needs will be fulfilled. Such is divine alchemy
that the crooked become straight. As God revealed, "Its
roots are firm in the earth, its branches in the sky."
-Rumi, "Mathnawi" |

the brokenhearted

| Good
and Bad Companions
Narrated Abu
Musa (radiallaho unho):
The Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasallam) said, 'The
example of a good pious companion and an evil one is that of
a person carrying musk and another blowing a pair of bellows.
The one who is carrying musk will either give you some
perfume as a present, or you will buy some from him, or you
will get a good smell from him, but the one who is blowing a
pair of bellows will either burn your clothes or you will get
a bad smell from him."

Muslim,

Invoke Him with deeds
God made the
illusion look real and the real an illusion. He concealed the
sea and made the foam visible, the wind invisible, and the
dust manifest. You see the dust whirling, but how can the
dust rise by itself? You see the foam, but not the ocean.
Invoke Him with deeds, not words, for deeds are real and will
save you in the afterlife.

"Mathnawi" |

My

When he invokes Me,

Forgive us, our Lord. Overlook our transgressions and remit
from us our evil deeds. Condemn us not for our corruption;

remit from them their evil deeds." So absolve us of our sins,
O Benevolent Lord.
-Sheikh Abdul Qadir JIllani, "Fayuz E Yazdani" |

Your

to you, that ye may glorify Allah for His Guidance to you and
proclaim the good news to all who do right.
-Qur'an, The Pilgrimage, 22:37 |

that you ask for
And He giveth
you of all that ye ask for. But if ye count the favours of

A
blind man came to him

self-sufficient.

Those
that call upon their Lord
Do not dismiss those that call upon their Lord morning
and evening, seeking His countenance. You are not accountable
for them, just as they are not accountable for you. Then if

wrongdoers.
-Qur'an, Al-An'am, Surah 6:52 |

The
soul of the dying man
When the soul of the dying man takes its last breath and you
look on helplessly, We are closer to him than you are, though
you cannot see Us. If you feel you do not depend on Us, why
do you not restore life, if what you say is indeed the truth?
Then if the deceased is righteous, he will find fulfillment
in the Garden of Delight.
-Qur'an, Al-Waqi'a, Surah 56:83-39 |
