Dark Walk of Life
So narrow is the street of life.
One end dark and unfamiliar , but to an infant
this is all that it knows,
so it is comfortable.
This dark end of the street eventually becomes
home.
Soon the infant will become a child and this
comfort zone becomes a trap, a burden.
This child will grow up and gain interest in the
rest of this long and narrow street.
As the child grew from an infant, it's points of
view changed.
The street that seemed so long is now as long as
the child wishes to see.
The maintainers of this street have set up many
obstacles, gadgets, and lures to get you to stay in on place.
Now the child has light, but just where the child
is presently standing and wishes to see.
Now the child is undergoing another change, this
is the final change.
But first the child has to maneuver through the
obstacles and get what it gets from them.
The child uses the gadgets for what they are
worth and some of the lures are used and some aren't.
This process is what turns the child to an
adult.
As a child, when wanted to, it could see the
light at the end of the street, and now as a adult, if the child never attempted
to, the adult 9 times out of 10, will never see the light.
But for the adult that makes it to the
enlightened end, looks back and see's that the street was not long and that the
obstacles, gadgets, and lures are not that intriguing.
The adult realizes that the most important part
of the street was the light shinning at the end and that he recognized it as
a child.
the adult wishes to go back and inform the next
child walking the long street of life, that the obstacles are not hard, nor
important.
Inform them that the light peering at the end of
the street will educate them on what this street is all about.
Make use of the gadgets and lures enough to get
you to the light.
The sad reality is that the adult can only look
back, can never go back.
This is life.
