15 : 26

We created man of earthen clay taken from moulded mud.

(Having dwelt at length on His Creation, - the star studded heavens above and the copious earth below and all that exists in between them, the wind, the clouds, the flora and the fauna, the beasts in the wilderness, the generous provision made for all living beings, the paucity of life and the inevitability of death, the promise of reward and the warning of requital, the focus now shifts upon the Creature around whom the Creation revolves, the greatest of His marvels, His regent on earth, the bearer of His torch, the champion of His Cause, the mirror of His Glory, the keeper of His trust, the owner of the Garden, the upholder of the Truth and the courageous courier of the Qur'aan which neither the earth nor the mountains ventured to shoulder; a prodigious creature unlike any of the other creature with faculties capable of reaching perfection! He was the one to whom the angels were asked to prostrate in acknowledgement of his primacy over them; for whom a part of the Garden has been set aside and because of whom an arrogant angel fell out of His Grace and turned into a renegade! Small wonder that events leading to his creation are repeated time and again in the Qur'aan so that the lesson which was taught to him and his spouse in retaliation for their disobedience does not fall on deaf years, and his progeny make no mistake about learning from it and avert the outcome which befell their first parents).
