Verily We it is Who have revealed the Reminder and We it is Who will guard it!

Thanks to that authoritative undertaking and its meticulous implementation, time has done nothing to impair it; hostility has done nothing to discredit it; competition has done nothing to curb it! Fourteen centuries have passed away since its inculcation; generations upon generations of people have come and gone; the Torah got swallowed up into the gullets of hypocrisy and mendacity; the Gospel according to Allah has long since been replaced by the Gospel according to Paul or Matthew or Luke; the rabbis of one and the priests of the other trampled them under their feet and turned them into mere pulps; but the Qur'aan has outlived them all! Whenever a king attempted to assail it, there always came a knight in shining armour to defend its integrity; whenever dust threatened to settle on it and dim its gloss, devotion came along to blow away the dust and to restore its opulence; whenever the whirlwinds of ignorance gathered pace to put out its flame, shades of knowledge covered it from all sides and protected its glow; whenever a Salman rose to corrupt its glorious content, somewhere in the distance a 'Fatwaa' echoed and put him back in his place! Like a writing engraved in stone and like a necklace designed to perfection, it has remained in tact to this day and thus will it remain forever, - InshaAllah!)
