Anas ibn Malik reported that the Prophet (may Allah's Blessings and Peace be upon him) said:
"I was threatened in the path of Allah as no one else has ever been threatened, and I was tortured in the path of Allah as no one else has ever been tortured.
Once, thirty days and nights passed when there was nothing for Bilal and me
to eat except the little that Bilal had saved under his arms."
(Tirmidhi)

Look at what our beloved Prophet (pbuh) underwent! And yet . . . He never once doubted in Allah. He never complained. He never lost faith. He would only utter praise.
And look at us . . . One small test comes our way and we accuse Allah of not being fair. One small trial from Allah and we are ready to throw away everything . . . One small shaking and doubt fills our mind.
Be strong through this life's journey like our beloved Prophet (pbuh) by keeping these three key verses in mind:
1. "Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, "We believe", and that they will not be tested?" (29:2) Do not think you will not be tested. - Expect to be. Tests can come from every and any kind of door: in your family, friends, spouse, relatives, job, your money, even in your own body. These are not coincidences. These are tests from Allah.
2. "Allah does not place on any soul a burden greater than it can bear." (2:286) Allah wants to see how you will act under this test. Be patient. Patience means to praise Allah under all circumstances and to continue to do what pleases Allah no matter what is going on in your life. This will be easy for you if you know that Allah will never place a burden on you greater than you can bear. He will never give you a test beyond your capacity. Allah knows what you can take and so He arranges the type of test, length of test and difficulty of the test to suit your level.
3. "Surely, WITH every difficulty there is ease." (94:5) In the middle of this test there is something beautiful for you. That's right ... beautiful! You might not see it yet. It will appear at the right time.
And remember our Prophet (peace be upon him), whose name is written on Allah's Throne, faced what no human did and yet he never complained. He accepted it with a submitting heart because he knew it was all happening by the Permission of his Loving and Wise Allah.

' The word shams [sun] is feminine, and qamar [moon] is masculine.
The sun burns itself to give light and life to everything around,
and the moon is muneer, meaning it reflects the light.
Within itself it has no light; it radiates the brilliance of the sun.
So when we shine as men, the implication is that
we are reflecting the glorious light of our women.'
