MASJID UL- HARAAM


1 .  This is the Greatest mosque of the Universe where Allah increases the reward of each and every prayer by one hundred thousand fold, i.e. one hundred thousands times more than any other place where prayer is performed.

2 .  In the middle of this mosque, there is BAYTULLAH, which is the QIBLA (Direction of Prayer) of the Muslims.

3 .  There are only three mosques in the world where the Prophet MUHAMMAD (S. A. W.) encouraged us to visit i.e. to offer prayer therein:-

A, Masjidul- Haraam. B, Masjid-Nabiy. C, Masjid-dul-Aqsa. 

 "In masjidul haraam Almighty Allah releases 120 mercies continuously. out of which 60 are awarded to those who has been doing their tawaf around holy kabbah. 40 mercies are for those who are offering  their salat and 20 are fixed for those who are just sitting and watching continously towards the holy kabbah"

4 .  This mosque is a unique model of construction. It is so big, millions of  faithful pilgrims may gather here at the same time. The speaker systems are so effective that the verses of the Quran will strike you in your heart, which brings many people to tears. The Lighting system is incredible.

5 .  There are 95 gates of Masjid -ul- Haram, out of which 5 are main gates.

6 .  In Masjid -ul- Haram, there is a Central Air Conditioning system.

7 .  Lifts and escalators are installed for upper level, as well as the roof. A basement is also built. The Whole Mosque is fully carpeted and thousands of  cold Zam Zam coolers are kept throughout the mosque which doubles its attraction. Out of the Haram sharif newly constructed floors around the mosque has increased the capacity in order to accomodate more people so they can offer prayer. This floor is a model of unique construction. Modern bathrooms and washrooms are built in the basement out side Haram which may be used by thousands of pilgrims at a time.

10. Capacity of worshipers   :    330,000 people
11.  Total Gates                  :    95
12.  Escalators                    :    5
13.  Lifts                            :    Near Bab-e-Safa
14.  Minarets                      :    9    (Bab-e-Fahad, Bab-e-Abdul-Aziz, Bab-e-Umra) have 2 minarets each . But Bab-e-Safa has only one minaret.)
15.  Height of Minarets        :    92 Metres.

BAYTULLAH  (Ka'bah) The house of Allah
 

1 .  It is a square shaped building, situated in center of  Masjid-ul-Haram. All the Muslims of the world perform their Salat (prayer) facing towards Kaba.

2 .  The continuos "TAWAF" of people is really a wonder of the whole world. Rain, sun, storm never prevents people performing Tawaf of Kabah (The House of Allah).

3 .  Syedna IBRAHIM (Allaihi Salaam) and his son ISMAIL (Allaihi Salaam) constructed the Kaabah (BAYTUL - ATEEQ).

4.  MATHEMATICAL MEASUREMENT OF KABBA

a) Length of out side walls:
    -    From Hajra-e-Asvad to Rukkan-e-Iraqi -37ft. 6 inches
    -    From Rukna-e-Iraqi to Rukna-e-Shami -31 ft. 6 inches
    -    From Rukna-e-Shami to Rukna-e-Yamani -37 ft. 6 inches
    -    From Rukna-e-Yamani to Hajra-e-Asvad -30 ft. 0 inches.
