40 Ahadiths (sayings of the Prophet SAW)
“The best
jihad is when a person stands up to a tyrant
ruler” (Abu Dawud)
“Leave alone that which causes you
doubt, and adhere to that which is free
from doubt, for the truth is comforting and
falsehood is disturbing” (Tirmizi)
“The world is prison for the believer and paradise for the
disbeliever” (Muslim)
“For every group of people there is a trial, and the trial
of my Ummah (people) lies in wealth (Tirmizi)
“Every good deed is charity” (Bukhari and muslim)
“When you ask for permission three times and it is not
granted, you should stop asking for it and turn back” (Bukhari

“Avoid suspicion for suspicion is the greatest lie” (Bukhari

“Softness beautifies things, and when that softness is taken
away they lose their glamour” (Muslim)
“Let La ilaha illallah (there is no god but Allah) be the

“Do not love the world and Allah will love you and do not
have a longing for that which people have and they will love

“Prayer is light and charity is proof (of ones faith)

“He who missed his Asr prayer, it is as though he was
deprived of his family and wealth” (Muslim)
“The most perfect believer (in his faith) is he whose
conduct is best, and the best among you is the one who behaves
best towards his wife) (Tirmizi)
“Take advantage of five things before five others occur,
your youth before you become old, your health before you become
sick, your wealth before you become poor, your leisure before
you become busy and your life before you die” (Tirmizi)
“None of you truly believes (in Islam) until he wishes for
his brother what he wishes for himself” (Bukhari and Muslim)
“Wherever and in whatever circumstances you are, fear Allah;
do a good deed after every sin, for it will annul it and be
kind and cordial in conduct towards the servants of your lord”
(Tirmizi)
“One who lacks kindness of heart lacks all good” (Muslim)
“Whenever the Prophet (s) was worried or faced with a
difficult situation, he would engage in prayer” (Abu Dawud)
“The Prophet (s) never assaulted anyone- neither a woman or
a servant- with his own hands except while fighting in the
cause of Allah” (Muslim)
“Allah does not look at your body and face; rather he looks
at your heart” (Tirmizi)
“Those in whose hearts is no mercy for others will not
attain the mercy of Allah”

“The strong is not who can overcome people by his strength,
but the strong is the one who controls himself while in anger”
(Bukhari)
“Virtue is good conduct, and sin fills your mind with guilt
and makes you feel fear that others will know your sins”

“He who breaks off the ties of blood will not enter

“The reward of one who directs somebody to do a good deed
will be equal to the reward of the latter” (Muslim)

So show mercy upon the earthly creatures so that one who is in
heaven should show mercy upon you”

“A person inevitably follows the faith of one’s friend’s
therefore, be careful in choosing your friends” (Abu Dawud and
Tirmizi)
“Every religion has a distinctive quality, and the quality
of Islam is Modesty”
(Al-bayhaqi and Ibn Majah)
“If you are in a group of three, two should not converse
secretly to the exclusion of your companion for that hurts his
feeling” (Muslim)
“The man who is merciful and hearted to every relative and
to every Muslim, will be an inhabitant of paradise” (Muslim)
“Be in this world as if you are a stranger of a wayfarer” (Bukhari)
“A mans spending on his family is a deed of charity” (Bukhari)
“If anyone of you enters a mosque, he should not sit until
he has offered a two Rak’ah prayer” (Bukhari)
“Everyone will be among those whom he loves” (Bukhari)
“Whoever possesses the following three qualities will taste
the sweetness of faith: The one to whom Allah and his apostle
become dearer then anything else. He who loves a person and he
loves him only for the sake of Allah. And he who hates to
revert to disbelief after Allah has brought him out from it as
he hates to be thrown in fire”

“If you really love me, then be prepared for poverty, for
extreme hardship rushes more rapidly towards a person who loves
me, then a flood rushes towards its goal”
(Tirmizi)
“Allah has ninety nine names one, hundred less one; and he
who memorized them all by heart will enter paradise” (Muslim)
“He who does not show tenderness to the young and respect to
the elder, is not one of us” (Tirmizi)
