NOTE:

“ Well this is an important topic which relates to AIDS/HIV (Human immunodeficiency)

This topic is going to take only few minutes of yours but I hope it’ll provide some useful information to you guys. So after reading it, do send it to your other pals.”

Today I went through an article of Dawn’s “the review” named AIDS/HIV.

We all hardly know about this epidemic disease, so I thought to forward it to all of my Internet mates. If you are in hurry just save it in your computer and read it later but do read it. Please!

·        What is HIV /AIDS?

It is a disease, which is just another curse. Its main cause is having unsafe sex with more than one person.

·        How it spreads to others?

    It spreads by

ü      Having unprotected sex with a partner already infected with AIDS

ü      Having one’s blood into contact with HIV infected blood (by needles, syringes and piercing guns)

HIV infected mother can pass the virus onto their unborn babies during pregnancy.

One cannot get HIV from kissing, hugging, drinking water from same glass or working in the same office as someone infected with HIV.

AIDS is the last stage of HIV.

If HIV virus is spotted at an early enough stage, medication can be taken which can help to control it, although there is no guarantee that HIV infected person will not get AIDS. But the treatment for an AIDS patient is around 15 lakh rupees.

So… PREVENTION is definitely better than cure.

·        PREVENTION:

The only way to save oneself from HIV/AIDS is prevention:

ü      Using condoms when having sex

ü      Using previously unused syringes for vaccinations and drug use

ü      Covering cuts (cruse) with bandages as soon as possible ,especially if playing

      Sports.

ü      Using your own blades when shaving

ü      Using your own tooth brush

Studies  indicate that 94% injections are administered using already used equipments which is a big cause of spreading of HIV virus

Believe me, no one is safe from HIV .We can get it too.

As SEX and AIDS are taboo issues in Pakistan so it’s hard for everyone to get correct and full information related to it.

Mm .. next time  be sure when your visiting your barber(nayee) that he is using  a new blade for your shave .

·        WIDELY INFECTED PEOPLE IN PAKISTAN:

ü      Prostitutes

ü      IV-drug users

ü      Tuck drivers.

Due to ignorance people in Pakistan attached with the fact that HIV was only sexually transmitted but now I am sure, you know much more about AIDS.

Pakistan has low rate of HIV infected persons, instead India has the largest rate of it.

So save your own self and others too by just getting few outlines of it and by working on them. And in the end let me tell you one more thing that if people of Pakistan think that talking about AIDS is something taboo, so it’s a social thing. The Quran talks about SEX, it talks about Menstruation, but why are we hesitant? So  it’s not religion that stops them from talking about these things ,it’s cultural values.
