Understanding & Recognizing
the Methodology of Kufr
Kufr is an Arabic word
that describes the behavior of someone who purposefully covers up the truth. For
Americans who endorse the Muslim Consumer Ethics, it is imperative that we
educate people on the methodology of kufr.
The practitioners of Kufr follow a basic set of
practices that consumers should learn to recognize:
- Practitioners of Kufr refuse to be obedient
to God's rules of fairness because they prefer to make up their own rules that
give them an unfair advantage.
- Practitioners of Kufr spread misinformation
(through marketing and misleading advertisements) to create a favorable
opinion in the minds of those without a clear guidance.
- Practitioners of kufr always have alterior
motives (unpure intentions) that are usually founded in:
- Personal financial gains,
- Arrogance,
- Lust for power, and/or
- Jealousy of those who act in accordance with their
covenant of peaceful submission to God.
- When the practitioners of kufr cannot refute
the truth, they try to discredit their opponent. They often ridicule, label,
and dehumanize their opponent in an attempt to destroy his/her credibility and
self-confidence.
- When practitioners of kufr enter into an
agreement with their opponent, they often look for opportunities to use time
in their favor and to "weasel" out of that agreement when it becomes
convenient and advantageous. In the meantime they remain as hypocrites
creating distractions against the truth seeker
- When practitioners of kufr fail to refute the
truth and to discredit their opponent, they often use other methods to
"silence" their opponent.
- When practitioners of kufr fail to achieve
their goals, they pretend to befriend their opponent.
"But God will establish His light of truth, even if the
practitioners of kufr hate it and despise it." (The Glorious Qur'an: Al-Saff:8)
