Love, what is it?
A misused word, a hurtful word.
A comforting word, a reassuring word.
He told me he loves me,
but what does that mean?
Does it mean he would die for me,
or that I am his life?
Love is a word,
that hurts more people than not.
If I say I love him,
will we be bound forever,
or just until tomorrow?
How many others have said it to me,
only to have their feeling quickly vanish?
I love my family and neighbors,
but that is different,
from the love he promised me.
I do not want to be a pessimist,
but does love really exist?
Is there such a thing as love,
except from a mother to her child?
If love is real, it will last forever,
but what is forever?
You and I will never see forever,
therefore we will never know.
The only love you can count on,
is from the only one who knows forever.
The only love you can count on,
is that of our Lord and Savior.
So you think I am carrying on fine,
Having fun in the warm sunshine.
Leading the way for an army of friends,
The perfect ness of my life never ends.
So many people to shower warmth and care on me,
How could anyone not envy on me?
Well, come look inside of me, and see
How the weather inside differs from my surroundings.
The sun melts into cold comfortable rain,
Fun is only word, which brings pain.
The army of friends doesnt really exist,
Happiness is never been on my list!
I cant have all that I long for
My heart has been burnt down to core.
Never healing wounds are part of (my life) me,
That is as beautiful as my life will ever be.
Crushed deformed, I try to push away the memory
Of the time when I was stolen from me.
To the one who has been through the same!!
You know you are not one to blame.
Keep smiling, don't let them look inside,
Don't cry or protest now that its all gone by.
Don't let them know that you cant endure the pain,
Don't give the satisfaction they want to gain!!
