A
Voice Lost in the Noise
By: M. Mursal Farman
Once a
building caught a fine. All the people in it were save except a
woman who was held in it. The people gathered around the
building. Meanwhile, the firebrigade also arrived. The woman
was standing very frightened in a window of the building and
was weeping. The fire was about to burn her. The crowd was
yelling at her to jump out to save her life. A fireman was
crying out at that time:
Don't
jump! I am coming up.
The woman
couldn't listen him in the noise of the screemings of the
people. ' The voice of the fireman didn't reach the woman
because of the noise of the people.' She jumped and lost her
leg.
Later the
fireman said:
The woman
could easily be rescued but she couldn't hear me.
This was
because 'a right voice was lost in the noise, and couldn't be
heard.'
A similar
incident happened to a person who usually goes to the Muslims'
Chat Rooms and listens to the people quietly for a long time.
Once when he was listening, he saw a message written:
Oh
Muslims! Tell me why is Islam better than Christianity?
S/he asked
this question many times, but everyone there was revolving
around his/her orbit (busy). After attempting many times, the
inquirer only wrote this:
Oh these
guys!
This
silent-preacher did his best to follow him/her, but all in
vain.
-
He wrote
messages, but couldn't be read in the crowd.
-
Whisper was
not allowed.
-
He
contacted the manager and other concerned people, but
recieved no reply.
-
He viewed
the profile of that inquirer, but there was no choice to
contact him/her.
He had left
nothing but a prayer for that person.
This incident
has worried this silent-preacher and is pricking his heart that
he became one of all there having not been able to do anything.
