Light Upon My Way

as i tread along life's path
in every stumble, grows wrath
pebbles and rocks everywhere
hidden, lie thorns and snares.

"this is not a path at all!
how can i walk when each time i fall?
how can i go on when my feet bleed
to the darkness, am it to submit?"

but 'neath the pit, shine glimpses of light
yes the glow shall see me through my plight
Your Light shall be the torch 'neath my feet,
dispersing all the darkness, You shall lead.

what i could not see, Your Light shall show
all hindrances revealed in Your snow
all hindrances revealed in Your glow
not savouring Your sweet embrace before
i hope i am safe now and forever more.
