He lived a very simple life. He did
not take any work to be below his dignity. He used to give
fodder to his camel himself; he used to
participate in home chores; he
used to mend his shoes, patch his clothes, milk his goats. He used to
tell his servant to eat with him. He did not feel embarrassed to carry his
goods from the market to his house. He used to shake hand with everybody,
rich or poor. He was always the first to offer greetings. He used to
accept invitations even for a common thing as dates; he never considered to
be insignificant, he was very sympathetic, kind and benevolent. The way
he lived his life was clean and tidy. He always met people cheerfully;
he seemed to be always smiling and never laughed loudly. He was always
apprehensive because of his fear of God but that never made him harsh or
dry. He was humble but did not display weakness. He was very generous
but did not like to spend on unnecessary things. He always treated
Muslims with gentleness. He was not in the habit of over-eating and never
stretched his hand with greed; he was always patient and content with
whatever he could get.
