Commentary:
The pragmatic nature of Islam ensures that no facet of human life remains
unattended. Rasulullah (S.A.W) practically demonstrated the method of
relieving oneself. It thus means that any person who answers the call of
nature in the manner taught to us by Rasulullah (S.A.W) will be earning
himself tremendous reward and a bout of spirituality. So much reward for
something that is a biological necessity.
Today’s western style, high pan toilets somehow make it difficult for one to
practise on the Sunnah method. While this “style” maybe a necessity in some
cases the eastern pan toilet should not be abandoned, as is the case today.
This point is noteworthy when building or buying a home.
